A state police investigation in Vermont determined that a 1975 Piper PA-34-200T plane traveling from Burlington, Vermont, to Oxford in Connecticut that crashed near Bald Mountain in Vermont earlier this week was being operated by 31-year-old Ramsey Samson Ah-Nee, 31, of Manchester.
Vermont State Police investigators were contacted by the Federal Aviation Association shortly before 6 p.m. on May 20 regarding a lost aircraft in the area of Woodford, Vermont. According to police, the FAA said that they had been tracking the twin-engine aircraft and lost radar confirmation.
At approximately 1 a.m. the following morning, officials found the downed plane near coordinates provided by the FAA, which was approximately three miles off Route 9 in a heavily wooded area of Woodord. Ah-Nee was found dead at the scene.
Police said that Ah-Nee was an experienced pilot with more than five years of aviation experience.
